Visiting Anna Maria Island is an unforgettable experience, if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation destination, then look no further. Located on the gulf coast of Florida, Anna Maria doesn’t have chain restaurants or high rise buildings. The 7 mile long island is considered by many to be their happy place, where they return to year after year. You will find white sandy beaches surrounded by emerald Green and Blue ocean. The beach is the perfect spot to watch the stunning sunsets over the gulf of Mexico. If you’re an early riser, then walk barefoot along the beach as you take in a sun rise overlooking Tampa bay.

Anna Maria
The North end of the island is the City of Anna Maria, Bean Point can be a quiet area of the beach that is worth visiting if you’re staying in a vacation home within walking distance. Here you will find many shops and restaurants along Pine Avenue to explore. The rod n reel pier is a popular spot for fishing or just watching others bring in their catch.
Holmes Beach
Holmes Beach is in the center of the Island. It has the same beautiful white sand beach and turquoise gulf of Mexico water as the rest of the island. There is a soccer field, skate park, basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts in Holmes beach. At the waterline marina you can rent a boat or go on a highly recommended dolphin spotting tour.
Bradenton Beach
To the south of the island is Bradenton Beach, if you’re staying in a vacation rental here there are lots to see and do. Gulf Drive cafe with the Kokonut hut tiki bar right on the beach is a must see place to stop by for drinks and snacks. For fine dining there is the Beach House Water front restaurant, you can enjoy fantastic food right on the beach. Wicked Cantina is another good spot to view a sunset whilst you’re enjoying your dinner. From the pier you can get a Shore Thing tiki cruise, party and spot dolphins around the island.
Hurricane season is from June 1st to November 30th, we encourage travel insurance if you’re planning to visit in this period are worried about not being able to travel.
